2018 brings some amazing changes to our program. We've been on hiatus for quite a while and that has been by design. We've been redesigning our approach to pageantry as we look to the future. While this program may have been inactive, it has not been ignored.
The major change to our program is the addition of an international focus. We started as a local event and branched out to a national concept, but our end goal has always been to go global. To this end, we have re-established our brand under the banner of Grace & Charm Pageantry with International Grace & Charm Pageant as well as our national program American Grace & Charm Pageant. Our mission has not changed though our scope has widened.
Another change that has been made is the revision of the titles being awarded. We found that the original title was cumbersome and made it difficult for titleholders to promote their reign as well as their platform. To remedy this, the decision was made to modify the titles being awarded. Going forward, both the International and American Grace & Charm Pageants will be awarding the following titles to young men and women: Miss Grace and Mister Charm in each age division.
Another change has been to move to an interview and achievement-based delegate selection process. Potential delegates will submit their application and relevant support documents as well as their application fee. If chosen to represent the American Grace and Charm Pageant, the delegate will receive a tiara or crown and embroidered sash or stole with a state or regional title.
A delegate will represent their state/region for 1 year from the date that their title is awarded or until March 31st of the following year, whichever comes first. On April 1st, but no later than April 7th of that year, one delegate from each age group will be chosen as a national representative and will serve as the national title holder until March 31st of the next year.
National representatives will receive a sash/stole indicating the year of their reign and title within 4 weeks of their appointment. Their reign will begin on April 1st and end on March 31st.
For more information on the the application process, please email us.
Again, thank you all so very much. Without you, there is no American Grace & Charm Pageant.
Gracefully & Charmingly yours,
